Maggie grew up in Sandpoint and graduated from the University of Idaho. She and her husband, Marc, live in Hayden Lake, Idaho, where they raised two sons. Maggie is a licensed CPA who has been involved in business restructurings and liquidations for the past 20 years. She describes her work as helping people resolve their fights over money. In early 2018, Maggie launched the non-profit, Charity Reimagined, which is dedicated to changing the paradigm for helping people in need from methods that sustain chronic dependency to methods that build individual capacity. In the summer of 2018, Maggie was asked to assume managerial duties to help the financially troubled North Idaho Housing Coalition, a provider of low-income housing. The non-profit successfully repaid its debts and has reorganized as Panhandle Affordable Housing Alliance (PAHA) with a mission to provide “Flourishing Housing” for low-income families in Kootenai County.
